At Attadale Counselling, I offer a warm, calming and supportive space where both individuals and couples can slow down, breathe and gently explore what's happening beneath the surface. My ethos is Connection to self and connection to others. When we feel grounded within ourselves, we are better able to form meaningful relationships, navigate challenge and move forward to a life that feels authentic and aligned. I have a deep passion for creating spaces where individuals can explore their meaning, understand their emotional world and develop a strong sense of self. I believe that when people feel truly seen and supported, they gain the clarity and confidence needed to grow, heal and move forward in their own time and own way.

My qualification and experience
I hold a Bachelor of Applied Psychology and a Bachelor of Counselling, with over 17 years of clinical experience. I have worked extensively with women, couples, children and families. I specialise in supporting couples, parents and children to build secure and meaningful relationships. I bring compassion and warmth to my work, helping individuals and families understand their emotional world and navigate challenges. I draw on a wide range of evidence-based interventions to strengthen relationships, deepen connection and support greater enjoyment in life.
My areas of expertise include:
• Couple counselling
• Parenting support
• Individual therapy
• Perinatal mental health
For the past eight years, I have worked within education settings, supporting children and families through counselling and collaborating with school staff to enhance classroom support. My experience spans both the corporate and not-for-profit sectors. Within the corporate space, I have provided Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counselling for over five years, focusing on employee wellbeing, workplace stress and effective communication. Within the not-for-profit sector at the Women’s Health and Wellbeing Service, I manage the Therapeutic Services team and provide counselling and programs for women, couples, and families, with a strong focus on perinatal mental health, trauma recovery and family relationships. I have also developed and facilitated workshops and groups on parenting, managing mood states and workplace communication. I am trained in Circle of Security Parenting (COSP) and Circle of Security – Classroom (COS-C) and I maintain a strong commitment to attachment-based and relational approaches.
My professional contributions also include involvement in Women’s and Newborns Research in perinatal mental health, where I ran a pilot program and later developed culturally responsive groups for the African community.
My passion lies in my clinical work that is guided by a deep care for real connection and meaningful intimacy, an appreciation for the courage it takes to grow and the pursuit of a fulfilling life.
Individual counselling offers a supportive and confidential space to explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences. My approach seeks to provide a gentle, compassionate and insightful process of self-discovery and growth. Together, we explore how past experiences and patterns may be shaping your present, while focusing on building awareness, self-acceptance and emotional wellbeing. Grounded in empathy and genuine connection, our work encourages you to reconnect with your inner strengths, find clarity and move toward a more authentic and fulfilling way of being.
Relationships can bring deep love, comfort and connection but they can also face moments of strain, misunderstanding or disconnection. Couples counselling offers a caring space where both partners can feel heard, supported and understood. Our work together focuses on understanding the patterns that keep you feeling stuck and nurturing new ways of communicating with openness and empathy. In this space, you are invited to explore what each of you needs to feel safe, valued and connected again. Through this process, many couples rediscover the warmth, respect and closeness, creating a stronger and more authentic bond built on mutual understanding, care and trust.
My integrative approach to counselling is grounded in compassion, curiosity and genuine connection. I believe that every person has the capacity for growth and healing when offered a safe, supportive space to explore their inner world.
Drawing from psychodynamic, person-centred, attachment informed and emotion-focused approaches, I work collaboratively with you to understand the deeper patterns, emotions and experiences that shape your life and relationships. Together, we make sense of your story — past and present — while nurturing self-awareness, acceptance and personal strength.
At the heart of my work is a belief in the power of authentic relationship and gentle reflection. Counselling becomes not just a place to talk, but a space to reconnect with yourself, discover new perspectives and move toward greater emotional wellbeing and fulfilment.
